brake problems.

My buddy ands I were working on our cars today and he asked me to check his brakes. So I took it for a ride and the pedal went almost to the floor. Very uncomfortable. We pulled the tires and checked the pads, they were good, more than half there. We next checked the fluid, it was down but not by much. Every thing else seems ok with the system, but the pedal still almost hits the floor. Anybody got any ideas?

Did you bleed the brakes and then check them again?

How did it turn out? If he has rear drum brakes, pull the drum and check the wheel cylinders.

Change the Rubber lines that go from the steel line to the caliper...

i think its like 5 bucks at murrays and its predone...

or you can orderthe kit through summit Earls Performance Plumbing its 69.99 and it comes with Steal Braided Lines for the front and rear. I bought them and installed them and it really really stiffened up the pedal!!

we haven't trie to bleed them yet but this weekend we are going to go at it again. I like the steel lines idea. that does make sense. thanks for the input.
