3 link qwestion
I was watching trucks on spike tv today and they put a three link suspension kit with airbags on an s-10 do thy make a kit for camaros? what kind of suspension do we have?
It's a toatally different kind of 3 link.
The 3 link F-bodies have are 2 lower control arms and the torque arm.
The torque arm has one pivot on the front (barely) and it's a sliding link.
The 3 link they use to 'bag S-10's is more like the 4 link on an A-body or a Fox mustang with a single upper control arm instead of 2 seperate links. The upper control arm has pivots on both the axle and the frame mount.
They use this on S-10's instead of a 4 link because of it's simplicity and the fact that it clears the gas tank.
You don't need to do the swap on an f-body because they came with coil springs in the back instead of leaf springs.
While you could use airbags with leaf springs, a multilink is usually safer and rides better.
