rear tire rattle??
Just chasing a funny sound. Its been there for a while now (maybe over a year). Sounds like a loose shock nut, almost, or a loose LCA bolt. Its the driver side rear. Have checked LCA bolts, shock nuts, panhard rod bolts. All tight.
With the car jacked up, I can grip the tire and when I try to shake it, it feels like it moves a fraction of an inch and sounds like there a bit of play. Lug nuts are tight all the way around. It BARELY moves.....but it just doesn't feel 100% tight.
I know its time for new axle seals. Could old/broken axle seals or bearings cause this problem?

Most likely the brake pads. The PBR pads use those little wire springs, which can pop out of their place, or even break.
It's not the axle.
If not that, check the top shock nut, and the bolts that hold the sway bar bracket onto the body.

Did not think about brake pads....although mine are drums. I'll have to tighten that shock mount. Has come loose once or twice. Never thought about the sway bar brackets.
Thanks...Good to know at least its not the axle.
