How hard is it to repair rim scrape?
For example, on a set of GTA rims where someone had damaged the very outer part of the rim by hitting curbs etc. Just how repairable is this kind of damage??
Here's a sample pic of one with damage - can this be sanded and re-shaped to look undamaged again?

depending on how deep the scrape is, you MAY be able to sand it.
my 92 z28 rims have some very light curb rash. i'm going to try blending it in with some 400 grit sandpaper.

Well, not dented I don't think. The pic is kind of crappy, I know. The area I'm most concerned with is to the lower left, about 7 o'clock or so. It seems that there is a bit of a flat spot on the side of the rim there, like someone took a file to it, only it probably was a curb. I think they are straight though.
