Weird Lug Nuts?

Weird Lug Nuts?

I popped a tire the other day and there is one lug nut i cant seem to get off. It looks like i need a special key for it, but its not in the car? What do i do?

Yeah, you've got locks on the wheels. If you don't have the dey I would either try a local garage and see if they have any ideas, or try these.

Look slike you are blessed with wheel locks. I would look everywhere in the car and see if you can find it. I keep my lock in the center console. You can use one of those extractors seen in the link that Slow prodived. That would get it out.

I just checked my brakes at my work... and I have wheel locks... and since putting it all back together, I can't find mine... fortunately I have the code, and $30 USD later (and 2-3 weeks) I'm getting replacement keys... which really sucks when I'm trying to do a brake job...

there are sockets made that hammer on the nut and have teeth to grip the nut so you can remove it.

i have one socket made for lug nuts made by lisle and a set made by snap on but craftsman and mac also makes them.

I bought the Lisle one a few years ago and it worked great with an impact gun to get the locks off...I bought the car with the rims locked on and no key ..

The life and times of a used car though...
