street suspension

seeing soooo many different things as far as shocks and springs are going....starting to confuse me.....but what i want is a real good road set up, in other words I want it to turn and turn really good. So anybody have suggestions on what to run....also what would an adjustable track bar do for me?

I think i may be able to help you out a little here. I have just done a complete suspension makeover last week(everything in the supsension section in my profile). For shocks and struts you basicly get what you pay for, koni, bilstein and illumina's are in the high class sectoin and are worth every penny you spend on them. Then kyb would be in the cheap but better then stock category. I did countless hours of searching and found that the bilsteins are the best for my application, and i can tell you that my car handles unbelivable(night and day difference). Bilsteins and the pro-kit will give you a almost stock ride driving down the road as a z28 but when you push it man does it push back. A adjustiable tracking bar you will need if you lower your car becuase it will shift the rearend about a 1/4 of an ich, and you will need it to recenter it. Spohn and BMR in my opinion are the two best companys when it comes to suspension parts like that(lca, torque arm, track bar, etc). Basicly it depends on a lot of what you want to do and how much money you want to spend. I put a lot of money into mine and i can tell you that the car handles amazing, when i first took a corner with it i was just like WOW. Hope this helped a little bit if you have more questions which i'm pretty sure you do just ask and i can try and help you with more of them.

if cost is no option bilstein hds and pro-kit is outstanding however not adjustable.

if your one of those types that has to mess with things then koni yellows are good.

how much money do you want to spend? if you are looking for 'the best' combo, you are likely going to be tossing out the cash for some pretty hard-core parts, the re-valved bilsteins from Sam Strano are very nice, ground-controls dampeners are very good also. you can buy Penske shocks from many places, they are rebuildable, and re-valveable, you would have to modify the front suspension extensively to get penske's up front though. that along with weight-jacks, and some good matched springs would be the best setup. probably a little much for the street, I personaly like a VERY firm ride, but i would suggest some good stiff linier springs, and Koni's, if you have a little more to spend, i would really consider re-valved bilsteins.

also what would an adjustable track bar do for me?
I am not aware of anyone who makes a truely adjustable track bar. but actualy this would be great if someone did, you could match your front and rear roll heights to each other. the closest thing out there to this, is the panhard relocation kit from Unbalanced Engineering.

i don't have the budget of a winston cup team but boy do i wish.....i don't mind spending a little more on something thats really good. Really i want to bolt it up and go, fiddling with a bunch of stuff would do me more bad than good right now, i'm not looking to do any scca or anything like that. Something better than stock, but not cheesy...anybody like those KYB AGX or are they crap, some say they are bad some say they are good. I'm not lookin to lower my car a ton like and inch or so is ok.

this has been talked about time and time again. however you will not be disappointed if you save up for the bilstein hd and eibach pro-kit combo guaranteed.
