Brakes keep freezing.....HELP

Sometimes i'll be driving around town and the brakes will just freeze up? Specifically the front right caliper.

I will just feel it pull to the right, a cloud of smoke and the brake will automatically go on, then i stop, press the brake a few times and it goes back to normal?

Any ideas?......

Yesterday i put new calipers, pads and flushed the brake system, but that didn't fix it.....

First thing I would do would be to replace both front brake lines, and bleed the hell out of the system, maybe run a whole bottle of new fluid through it.

That exact thing happened to my GTA and I just replaced both calipers and the lines and then everything was fine. I would do the same because I dont like brakes malfunctioning. Its not that expensive.

Well i went with you guys saying the lines were replaced andSure enough both the front brake lines are showing signs of cracking and in the case of the front right, it's just cracked.....

Both of them are getting replaced, although it's an emergency issue so i can't get the braided lines from Summit as was suggested by people, but oh well....

Thanks for the help, I'll post the results of getting them fixed

I've got two Russell Stainless braided lines sitting in my garage. Dont need them due to my Baer Track kit. Make me an offer.

not that it matters since you already figured it out but the same thing happened to me and it was the line. replaced them with earls braided up front and never looked back.

man was it a rough night coming home when i had that problem. my front right wheel was so hot from the brake locking up and trying to get home, i remember this older woman in a c5 looking at me in astonishment.........melted the plastic center cap on my stock wheel too!

now all my vehicles have braided brake lines.
