Brake bias for rear after fitting front 13" pro series kit

I'm just about to receive my 13" pro series kit from spohn for the front of my 85 iroc (4 wheel disc brakes). I was thinking that I would leave the rear as the standard discs for now. Given that the new front should be seriously better than the stock discs, could I increase the amount of braking effort that goes to the rear? Its my understanding that there is a proportioning value that restricts the rear brakes so that the brake bias is to the front.

Can the existing proportioning valve be adjusted? Is it best to get the wilwood proportioning valve? Or can I even take out the proportioning valve completely?

Cheers, for any comments?

for the best performance, i would get an adjustable prop valve, and tune it so the front locks just a hair before the rears.

You don't think I would end up having it set to unrestricting the rear? I'm just thinking that the performance of the new fronts may completely swamp the rears, making a proportioning valve a waste of time?

On a side note : where on the car is the proportioning valve? And is it adjustable at all, or it it just a fixed restrictor?

Cheers,

it is fixed.

and you can install the prop valve on the front lines, then tune the line pressure on the front down.

or

you can try to find a combo valve that has too much rear line pressure, and then tune the rears down with a prop valve.
