rear end not centered....

I need to know whats causing my rear end to not be centered on my stock 91 Z28. Is it the panhard rod?? The car is not lowered and has stock size wheels and tires.....just noticed the other day that the right tire sticks out farther than the left. You can definitely notice its out of whack. I looked under the car to see if anything was bent maybe or broke....but no luck. Should I just get a new adj panhard rod and hope that fixes it??? Thanks in advance.......

First good thing to do would be to look at the rear wheels and make sure they're both rears. Fronts and rears of that type wheel are different offset. It's cast into the wheel somewhere.

Next thing to do would be to check for a bent Panhard bar. It should be absolutely straight.

They are both rears.....They have been on the rear for almost a year....and I just noticed this problem....so I know thats not it. I looked at the panhard, but it looks straight. The LCA's look straight also. Im in the process of replacing the rear suspension anyway, so I'll probably just replace it all and start fresh. The torque arm wouldnt cause this problem would it?? Wheres the best place to get an adj panhard?? Thanks for the reply....

well the torque arm affects more of the up and down movement of the rear end. side to side it would move around some in the torque arm mount.

spohn makes a nice panhard bar.

"Just noticed" is not the same thing as "just suddenly became like this".

Have you gone out and actually looked at your wheels, to make sure you have 2 fronts on the front and 2 rears on the rear? It's more common than you might think.

How old are your springs? As springs age they sag. Sagging springs will in essence lower your car and shift the rear slightly to one side.

Well...considering the wheels have NOT been off the rear of the car in about 6mths, Im sure its not that. Turns out it was my 14yr old springs.....the left was sagging...making the car seem to be shifted slightly. Thanks for all the replies.......
