Probably wouldn't be a good idea.. I think 255 is the reasonable limit..

I think the problem you get when you go with a wide tire like that, is nobody seems to make a low profile version in 16". They all seem to be like 60 series or you might be able to get a set of racing slicks.

My dad has 295s on a GTA wheel. Yearone said they would fit and for a year they haven't been a problem.

i run a kumho truck tire out back. its a 255/55/16. it looks sweet, and fills the gap. you will never go back to a 245/50 again. the tire is a lil heavy, but with 24psi in them, they hook pretty good, and the tires last forever (even doing 20+ burnouts on them)

jegs.com has the cheapest price on them, seeing they dont kill you with a fat shipping rate on rubber.

good luck.

I've got 245-50-16's on my WS-6 16x8's. If I wanted to go wider, I'd have to find 2 more offset's like the front. As it is now, I only have about an inch of room left between the side wall and the inner fender well. If you go any taller, you'll just throw the speedo off and kill some of your bottom end take off power!
The form. WS-6 came with 245-50-16 gatorbacks from the factory.

the 255/55 is only 27.0 it may throw the speedo off 1-1.5mph. a 245/50 is only 25.65 (most brands)
