coilovers
besides the coilovers themselves, what would it take to install coilovers in a 3rd gen camaro, what steps of fabrication would be required. I'm suprised i havent seen any posts about this kinda stuff.
fabrication..? none. pick up the kit and install it. i had to change out my k-member to one set up for coilovers however i'm not sure its necessary although it helps with the weight issues.
a stb is a must though for anyone going through with the conversion as well as a good spring choice. some have claimed the strut towers themselves should be reinforced. i have yet to notice any problems but i only have 4,000 miles using them.
i've currently removed the coilovers and have a custom air strut which basically is a coilover in design. if the towers can hold up to using alot of up and down motion with the air bags i'm sure they'll be fine.......we'll see.
anyone interested i have my custom bilstein coilover struts for sale for $300. 2 sets of eibach ers 3"x10 id springs for 75 as well.
