What size tires?

I've got a 92 z28 that has 255/50/16 on the rear now. If I wanted to go to a tire a little wider and taller, what size would I need without causing any problems?

BFGoodrich Radial T/A 265/50/R16

That is about as wide as you can go safely on those wheels. Without changing wheel size, i wouldn't reccomend anything more than that. But personally, I would use BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDW in 245/50/R16, they have excellent grip and a great speed rating. Unless you are making ungodly amounts of horsepower, you will be fine with them.

If you want better traction, I would reccomend rear suspensiopn upgrades (Spohn products) before I tried to put more rubber on the ground. Make the car want to grip, and it will grip.
