new brake caliper

Transmission: 700R4-4l60E
new brake caliper

i tried to get a new brake caliper form auto zone for my 1985 t/a they wanted to charge me like 120 dollars. i called murrays they dont even cary them and neither does napa. how can i get ahold of a new caliper it is leaking out of the back of the caliper from where the parking brake lever goes into the casting

Are you talking about front or back calipers? I got my front calipers for $15 each at napa.

Has to be the back cause he mentions a parking brake lever. Have you checked the dealer yet for it? Most likely all the parts stores stock will be reman.

usually i try to stay away from dealer because of high prices but i might have to do it this time. yes i am talking about the back.

You'd be surprised. If you can get the p/n, then order it online, it'll be alot cheaper then direct from most dealers. My rear LS1 calipers were cheaper new from GM then it was to get reman even BEFORE the core charge. My other GS calipers were only a few bucks more from GM then reman. I dont know if this is the case with your perticular caliper though. Might be worth a shot.
