Preparing for 305-350 swap

What suspension mods are a must to swap a 305 with a 350?

Is there an aftermarket driveshaft drop guard to protect from your front shaft dropping or is that something I'd have to fabricate?

You dont have to chage any springs or shocks to go from 305 to 350

WTF, suspension is the same regardless of hte engine size.

you DON'T have to change anything.

Now, if you want to take advantage of the power, instead of just spinning the tires, you should look into rear suspension upgrades.

I assume you are talking about rear suspension upgrades?

Although a search would yeild this information, I have nothing better to do right now (I am at work. )

1) FIX any worn parts, this will include, mounts, bushings, ect. It does not good to modify a broken car.

2) shocks. orget bolting anything on, a good set of shocks/struts are the BEST thing you can do as a mod. these will depend on how you are going to be using the car

3) Tires. The power has to go somewhere, this is you only contact point with the ground.

4) Geometry. this needs to be spot on. An adjustable torque arm (for adjusting pinion angle) and LCA relocation brackets. It does no good to through other parts on, if your geometry is no conducive to traction.

5) springs/sway bars. At this point, you really need to detmine exactly what direction the car is taking, for a track only car, this would be drag springs, no front sway bar, VERY large rear bar.

5) LCA's. Yes, these are LAST on my list. everything else is now working for you, you can strenghten these, and take out the deflection. if you do these first, all you are doing is transfereing more power that cannot be used.

6) PHB. for traction, this does nothing. if you like turn, the list looks diffrent and this is towards the top. all the PHB is, is a lateral support device, it will not effect forward traction.

Hope that helps.

First before you do anything get some SFC's. Do a for them, you will find all the info you need.
