moog 5665's in a vert?

I asked a similar question in the convertible forum but am thinking that may have been the wrong place..... Anyway, I'm replacing the old wore out stock springs on a 92 T/A convertible and am wondering if the 5665's will be too stiff for the car. I don't know how much lighter the rear is compared to a coupe, what do you think?

It's a good -250 pounds lighter.

250 pounds, or more, heavier in other words. Convertibles are always heavier.

Think about a suspension bridge..... see how that big thing there up above the roadbed holds up the road? That's how a car with a top works. Now think about how thick and stiff that roadbed would have to be to hold itself up, if it didn't have the suspension up above. (Hint: that's why they put it up there.)

They'll be fine.

I do see your point and know the car is heavier overall.... but that hatch is damn heavy too and most of it is behind the rear wheels. The 5662's are going up front and I've read here/been told these are the IROC spring rates front and rear. I wonder if they used the same springs on the verts from the factory? Huh, I guess thats a dumb question considering these are conversions.
