Upgrading rear-end (some brake questions)
I've always wanted to go to a 4th gen rear for the disc brakes and shorter gears (I have 2.73 posi drum), and since I just blew my differential yesterday, I'm just going to upgrade to a 4th gen rear now.
Anyways, I know the LS1 brakes are better than the LT1 brakes (I'm only changing the rear at this point, I already have the new stuff for my fronts), but will the LS1 rear brakes work just fine on my car? I understand everything about bolting the rear up, and I've read about the LS1 rear disc conversion, but I can't seem to find anyone who upgraded from a 3rd gen drum rear to an LS1 disc rear. I'm assuming I don't need any special adapters or brackets since I'll have the entire rear. Do I need to do anything special (different from the LT1 rear swap) for the brake lines or P-brake cables?
Also, I understand I'll probably need a new prop valve, but I'm not going to do that right away unless urgently needed.
If it makes any difference, I have the 16x8 rims, but I don't think that should matter much for the brake clearance.
Any help would be appreciated as I need to buy a rear and get it installed ASAP. I'm just debating whether or not to try and find an LS1 rear (if its the same install as an LT1 rear), or just pick up an LT1 rear.

If you are swapping the whole rear you will not need to do anything other then change the prop valve to a 4 wheel disc brake one.
