Panhard Rod brace bushing

I installed a new cat back yesterday on my car and noticed that the bushing for my panhard rod brace is very warn, i can twist it and move it by just using my hand. Does anyone sell a new bushing for it or should i just get a new brace from GM? Gmpartsirect has it for $37 shipped. And if i do go the route of getting a new brace could anybody confirm that it comes with the bushing?

I believe he was referring to "panhard brace", not the actual panhard bar, what you linked to would be absolutely useless in this case unless the bushings are the same size which they very well may be.

I never thought that they would be the same. I'll have to take a look and some measurements tommorrow or monday. If not i'll order a new brace from GM.

Any of the braces I've seen didn't have any bushing at all, just a tube for the bolt to slide through and keep the mounting brackets from collapsing when that bolt is tightened up.
The tube was about the same size and thickness as that inside the bushing in the panhard bar, but it's just welded into the end of the brace.

yeah i didnt think that the brace had a bushing thats why i thought maybe it was the panhard bar he was talking about.

i would figure if it does have bushings then it would be the same.

Ok, guess i was wrong heh. Since there's slop in it i assumed there was a bushing that deteriorated. I'll try and tighten it some to see if that solves the problem, if not i'll find a used one or just order a new one.

Well tightening it solved the problem, Got rid of a driving noise at the same time which made me happy. I should of started with the easiest possible causes first. Thanks for the replies.
