opinions on alignment after new struts
Greetings, gearheads. I've been away awhile. Anyway, what are your opinions on getting an alignment after I get the new front struts on without disturbing the top strut mounts? Yes? No? Doesn't need it? Got a 450 mile road trip in two days and will not be able to get it into an alignment shop before then.

get an alignment. there can be variations in the stut, so your alignment may be off. it should remain close. but you never know.

Toe and go. You can use a tape measure to check and see if your toe is ok. It should point slightly in. Thats the alignment angle that will cause the most tire wear. Then when you get back take it to a real alignment shop.

You're just replacing old struts with new struts? You should be fine without and alignment. A test drive does wonders in decision making.
