C5 rims on 1987 TA 5.7
I want to buy my best friend's C5 vette rims they are factory rims off his vette 17" in front 18" in the back. I cant get the front ones on because of the i think wheel baring. It is the part that sticks out in the center. How do i remove it? i would really like to just do like some kind of hub swap, insted of spacers. i am worried about how it would look down the side. I dont know if the tires would stick out from the wells. I am working on kind of a budget so i would really apresiate some thing cheap like could i do a 4th gen swap? i have lots of parts to trade for another part like thatcould somebody please help me...?

For the first part, you don't remove it. You can't just change the hub. It is part of the rotor so you need it for the car to have brakes and to be safe. I think you will need spacers, at least to use 4th Gen wheels you need spacers and since lots of 4th gen cars use Vette wheels, I assume spacers are required.
And if you go with a 4th gen rear, good idea, you won't need spacers for the rears, but will for the front. If I were you, I would go ahead and get the wheels and then figure out how to make it all fit. Your cheapest and easiest option would be to go with spacers. Search and you will find a link to that one company that makes spacers for our cars to work with different GM wheels. THere is lots of info on that site...Good luck

There's NO WAY to do that without spacers. Period. At lesat, not without spending about 10 times as much as spacers would cost.
This is what you need, right here. 2" front, 1½" or 1¾" on the rear, depending on the tire size you want to use.
