Prop valve for rear disc conversion

Yeah yeah yeah, chill out all you search *****, I did like 8. You get a damn phone book when you search for this kinda stuff.

Anyway, my question pertains to PNs and line flares.

I came across many posts that had GM PNs in them and here are two that appear to be for the same application, but two different numbers:
GM 1LE 4wheel disc
10164112
14089496
I found a few other numbers but didn't write them down, two are confusing enough for me. If someone can shed some light on this and tell me which I would need that would be great.

Also, I have considered a Wilwood adjustable prop valve, but I don't know if I want to do all of that. I know it would be optimal for max. performance, but I want a simple bolt on swap. I am of the understanding that the Wilwood has a different flare requirement than the stock lines have. I don't want to reflare any lines. If I am wrong about that, please let me know!!

So let me know which valve I would need, thank you!!!

I'll rule out the 14089496 for you, that won't work on your lines. Its the 1LE valve you want, but the wrong pitch threads. Its made for pre-'89 1/2 cars.
You want the 1lLE valve for post-'89 1/2 cars, but soory, I don't know if the other part # you posted is that or not.

14089496 1989 1st design: M1.0 tube nut threads (For 1982 - early 1989 applications)
10136840 (GM changed to 10164112) 1989 2nd design - 1992: M1.5 tube nut threads (Changed Late 1989)

So you need 10164112, I don't know why GM has to change part numbers all the time, doesn't make much sence to me.

Tremo, Yes...that's the valve you want. Click the link in my sig for pics and descriptions on my 1LE upgrade, complete with all part numbers and such.
