lowering newbie here

ok, heres the deal...i have an 86 T/A WS6 and want to lower it about an inch in the front and 1 1/2 in the back...how much work/time/money will i spend doing this?

with simple hand tools, floor jack, jack stands.

you can install the eibach prokit which is suppose to lower an inch on all corners. then to get alittle extra lowering in the rear modify the isolators with something else like a piece of hose. or even extra sheet metal if u dont mind the noise.

if u need help maybe one of the local guys on the midatlantic board can offer their garage and u can install it for free just the cost of the springs which are around 235 i think.

work and time about a few hours. rear springs can be done in minutes, the fronts take some time.

thanks for the info man, and it would be nice 2 have someone help me out a little (especialy a club member! seems in how i have no idea what i'm doing) lowering will help my handling as well so i will hug those curves so much better

I recently put an Eibach Pro kit in my 92. I think it looks very nice, and the ride is really good too. Some lowered cars ride like a skateboard, harsh!!!

Just be careful with removing the front springs. You may not need a spring compressor, I didn't and others have got by without it, but if this is your first time you may want to see about renting one or borrowing one just to be safe. When a coil spring gets loose on it own, it can really cause some serious damage. Good luck to ya...

auto zone, i think like 45 bucks or something; it doesnt matter u get like 90 days to return it for all ur money back.

That is similar to what I have save for the relocation brackets. They are on the list though...
