I was attempting to put new WS6 springs on the front of my car last night.

Like i suspected both end links broke(no biggie, i am also installing ws6 bars and a wonder bar from tds)

On the drive side, both bolts for the a arm came out easy enough, we lowered the back of the a arm, pulled the spring out and reversed for installation.

Now the passengers side. Bolt closest to the rear appeared to be very hard because of its location to my exhaust. But like the other side, it came out no problem.

The front bolt was not so easy, i believe it is actually siezed on there. The nut came off, but the bolt will not turn under any circumstance.

I thought about heating it up, but i dont want to ruin the bushing.

Then i thought about busting the strut nuts and bolts out and lowering it that way, if i do that, how close can i keep my alignment if i mark it?

Any ideas?

You'll have to have the car re-aligned regardless from just changing the springs. The height will be slightly different

the bolt is likely seized in the sleeve from corrosion. That means that it should be replaced if you can get it out. You can try penetrating oil and an impact gun or hammer to loosen it. Either way you need a new bolt and the sleeve in the bushing is probably shot too. the alignment is mandatory. i replaced my springs with stock ones and got "Distracted" by other projects. My camber was off, now i have 2 ruined tires.

I had to resort to using a chisel under the bolt head (beat out, beat in) along with a can of WD-40. I suppose it took an hour to remove.

Thanks for letting me know about the ride height change needing an alignment. I was not aware. For now i think i will just drop the strut loose to get the other spring out of there.

I am going tublar a-arms later on, since i did not remove the bolt, i should be okay right?

THanks guys.
