bilstein struts

I just got my new bilstein struts from auto zone.. They caost me $400, but man are they beautiful.. I have one question.. there is a spacer that i'm not sure if it goes under the lock nut or on the bottom of the upper strut mount?

It goes right under the lock nut

Thanks for the answer... Should i have gotten a install manual for the struts? Also how about stickers that say Bilstein?
