Drag Launch Bags
I have done some searching on here. However, I did not come across a picture of one installed, or how they are installed.
Can someone post some pictures of one installed, and inform me of how they are held in place.
Appears, most people on daily use run the bag at 2psi, but when launching, anywhere from 8 to 18psi. Anyone blown one?

i think it has to be at least at 5 psi at all times so it wont get messed up.
either way here is what i have.

it just sits there at the bottom in the spring, take load off of it, fill it to max capacity, put load on it again, then take air out untill u have the psi u want. i run about 10psi.

All ya do is take pressure off the coil, and insert the bags between the coils themselves. The ones for our cars are'nt bad at all to install, helped a few friends with the G-bodies and those are a little tighter than ours.
They come with a plastic base that sets on the springs perch (keeps the springs from moving) so the bottom does'nt get cut. Then the air lines feed up through the bottom and you can run to where ever you fell most convenient.
On the street I try to keep 5psi in both just for sake of bag integrity to keep pressure going outwards so it does'nt get pinched anywhere. Race day, i have 30 psi pass rear 5psi driver rear. Every car will be different so just experiment with psi. I can run without any air in them, but body roll get exagerated. Soon as I get my anti-roll bar installed, I'll lave the bags in place, but will probably never put air in them on race day.

IHI, much thanks! So do they actually touch up top then? or just put pressure on the coil so that it wont compress?

I just had my rear coils out last weekend to cut off 1/2 coil for stance and the spring with no tension is much longer than the bag is tall-uncompressed.
Honestly I've never paid any attention when I was under the car with weight on the rear end to se how much if any clearance there is up top when the coil spring is compressed. I do know that the ride is stiffer when I drive around town and the bags still have the race psi in the them. The bags themselves when inflated really dont protrude past the coild themselves-they kinda swell and get indentions from the coils, but nothing at all of any concern what so ever.
Sorry I could'nt be more help on that one, next time I
m under the car I'll have to look just to look now you got me curious, my main thing is that they work

There was'nt pressure on the rear end in that shot so the coil was under no pressure and the bag just kinda got stuck in the middle for that picture
When the car is on the ground the bag rests completely on the rubber pad on the srping perch.
