Just how much does the ws6 package help? Need some advice
I'm torn between cars. One is defiantly the looker and one seems to be the performer. They both have the same 5.7 tpi engine with about the same mileage (88,000 vs 90,000) in about the same condition (both really good). The performer has various things like spohn sub frame connectors and I want to say the ws6 package (it's an 88 GTA). I think it has it because it has a black front sway bar (didn't check the rear end) and everything felt really tight suspension wise. I didn’t think to check rpo codes when I was there.
The 87 camaro (the looker) lacks the sub frame connectors as well as the sway bar(s), and springs the other car has. How much of a difference do you guys think this will really make in terms of handling?
Since I’m on the topic, which should I buy? The camaro has t-tops, a better interior, and fewer paint chips but the GTA has the suspension mods, a recently rebuilt trans (less than 10k miles ago), and 5 more hp because of the 87 to 88 transition.
The 87 camaro
The 88 trans am (the headlights are an easy fix)

tough choice
Do they both have the same engine/ tranny set up? It will be easier to find parts for the camaro in the junk yards. But the trans am is more curvy. What is on the camaro that makes it such a looker, from the pics you posted I would go with the trans am, but I really like the t-tops. How are you going to drive the car. If it's a cruiser/ show off car I would lean more toward the camaro, but If you want performance I would go with the trans am, because of the upgrades on the car all ready, and the non t-top cars have a liitle less body flex. Hope this helps.
