I would try a few searches for the following manufactuers that make springs for our cars.
BMR
Eibach (2 sets)
Intrax
Hotchkis
Moog

Suspension Techniques is another brand to look at. And about the shocks, check out the warranty before you buy them. The warranty usually specifies the maximum lowering you can do before voiding the warranty. For instance, KYB specifies that lowering more than 1.5" will void the warranty and Tokico shocks are either 1.5" or 2".
edit: Suspension Techniques springs V6 part #: 60115 V8 part #: 60110. This brand provides a 1" drop. But beware, with old, old springs in your car, you are probably already riding lower than stock height, so installing lowering springs might actually raise the car. But this wasn't the case with my car.

good lookin out fellas. Let me correct myself about the springs and shocks. I meant to ask if i need shocks or struts that are compatible with the length of the springs.

I don't know of any shocks that are made specifically for thirdgens using aftermarket lowering springs. If I had to guess, I'd say the only way you can do different shocks is if you are doing a custom job. So I would answer no to your question.
