9 bolt drum to disc swap
My 9 bolt currently has drums, and I found a 9 bolt with discs. If I get the backing plates and everything, will there need to be any modifications made to my axles, or will everything bolt up? Also, exactly what will I all need from the donor car to make this work. I'm sorry if this is all a stupid, redundant question, but I tried a search, and couldn't find anything specifically about a 9 bolt.
Thanks,
Eric

Sorry to bring back a post from the dead, but I'm interested in the same swap. I have a 9 bolt open drum rear in my 85 right now, and I have an 85 posi disc 9 bolt rear. Would the new rear swap in with no other mods?

Yes, just swap the brakes over...they're the same rear after all.

Technically, you should swap the prop valve to the 1LE part but I'd try them out first and see how they work.
