Rearend Help???

I'm new to this site and new to f-bodys. I bought an 86' Iroc and a wrecked 95' Transam a few weeks ago. Well i've just started the swap over to 4th gen stuff a few weeks ago. Right now i just put the rearend in and when i set the car back on the ground, the passenger side back tire was sticking out about a 1/4" of an inch further than the other side. The newer rearend has the transam wheels on it also. Any reason this could be? My first thought was the car has been wrecked. Then i thought that my suspension was still loose and needed tigtning up maybe. So i tightened enerything up and picked the car back up and set it back down, no change. I need help quick before i go any further with this project. Tkns in advance.

Well I know 4th gens have a different offset for the rear wheels, but ignoring that, you might just need an adjustable panhard rod. With the stock fixed panhard rod (aka "track bar" in the GM book), if the car's raised or lowered, it'll shove the rear axle to the right or the left.

Tom P is right on the money man. The factory rears are not all that "exact" so a little difference here and there is not too uncommon. Get or make yourself an adjustable panhard rod to center it up in there and worry no further.

so if just that little bit is enough to move the rearend like that, would it be in my best interest to weld in some anti-squat brackets also

You should only need lower relocating brackets if you plan on drag racing and your car is lowered. For handling they do not help. Regardless they have nil to do with centering of the rear that is the job of the panhard rod.
