Help!!!!!!!
First off, thanks in advance to anyone that can help.
I purchased an '84 Camaro rolling drag race chassis and have run into some interesting things to say the least. The guy who had the car before me had the drum brake .486 knurl 7/16" x 20 wheel studs in the front and with some help from this board I found out that the ARP M12 x 1.5 stud was the correct one so I pressed them in at work (I'm running Weld Draglite so I have to run the longer studs). So I redid the wheel bearings and reassembled everything, buttoned up the calipers, go to put the wheels on and the wheels won't fit (and before you ask it's the 5 x 4.75 bolt pattern I tried not the 4.5 since they are drilled for both). So, does anybody have any idea what going on? I checked the studs with a square and they're square to the rotor face. I really doubt the rotor was deformed during the pressing of the studs. Since the guy ran the car with the wrong wheel studs, could this have deformed the rotor? I'm pulling my hair out and really need some help.
Thank you,
Jim
