i read somewhere that you could use a manual steering box out of an S10 in a thirdgen. i was wondering if anybody know for sure if this is true, and if so, what year S10?

i used a gear box from an 87 4cyl. 5speed 2wd S10. i bought it from autozone with a lifetime warranty. not really cheap at almost $200 not counting a core.

Yes, one out of an 89 bolted right in, so, any for that vintage truck. Just needed to change the pitman arm

if its drag or street crusing only, go for it. saves a few pounds and cleans up nice under the hood.
i DO NOT recommend this piece if you autocross or roadrace. not a good choice at all.
i have one on my car, and love it. but i dont take corners all crazy, its set up for straight line.
