new rear tires, stearing prob. maklng rear swing when turning

ok, i just got new rear tires, 235-60-r15, the fronts are 225-60-r15, the old rear tires were 215-65-r15, the car handled fine. but as soon as i put tires on the back that aren't taller than the fronts "or the same size" the car's rear swings when i turn, and i now have slow stearing response. theres too much wait to the back now. so my question is, is this normal in our cars? the suspensions is original with 100,000 miles on it, is it possible that the rear suspension is more worn out then the front, and this is causing too much wait distribution to the back, so far the only way i know to stop this prob. is to have taller rear tires, any and all ideas would be helpful.

Did you give the tires a week or so to wear in? Are the tires the same traction rating as the fronts? Same brand and model?

the tires were just put on today. but the last time i had tires put on the rear 225-60-r15, i had 215-65-r15 on the front , it did the same thing i gave it two weeks to wear in but no change. i ended up swaping the tires from the front to back and the car handled perfectly, as long as the rear tire are alittle bit taller the front the car handles fine. so now i have 225-60-r15 in the front and 235-60-r15 in the back.

What do you mean the rear swings when you turn?

Like it's sliding out and you're losing traction?

it's hard to describe i'm not losing traction in the back, int he front alittle. now if i gun it from a stop it feels like it wants to pop a wheelie. the front lifts abut 5 inches and you feel the car wanting to lean back. it feels like 75% of the cars wait is at the back. it sure takes off a hell of alot faster though. i pulled out my box/subs out of the trunk, to take some wait off it hellped abit but not. if i'm on the freeway goin about 70 mph and i make a semi- quick lane change at first when you turn the wheel the car rocks back and fourth like aboat it doesn't turn at first i can actually hear and feel the front tires not grabing when the wheel is turned. then all the sudden it just pulls like a 100 mph gust of wind blew the car to the side. i guess the best way to descibe it is that when i turn the wheel the rear end wants to trail behind, like 4 wheel steering
