whats the biggest wheel...?

What are the biggest wheels and tires that you could put on a 86 trans am, without making any major adjustments to wheel well and such??? Just wondeirng

Definitely not recommended. Although as someone said in that thread... Rims that awesome MUST add Horsepower... some sponser sticker (esp. NOS) and your ON YOUR WAY!!

I was considering 18's before i found some 17's i liked....Largest id go with would be 19's....

I wouldn't run bigger than 17's personally.

But that's just me.

i like my 17's but there are some 18's that look real nice too. i'm still 100% on my 17 as the best choice for the car.

Axle/Gears: Strange 12 bolt 3.42
I would not suggest going to anything bigger than a 17" wheel becuase of the ride and handling penalty. That is unless you want to use the car only for shows.

A 275-40-17 tire on a 17x9.5 wheel will produce the maximum tire patch without affecting ride that much.
