spring experts please

I bought an over the shelf set of springs for my v6 camaro to lower it 1.75". I got them in, back lowered as expected, rides nice. Left front jacked up about .75 more then rear (so it lowered about 1").

I contacted the company, told them these must be for a v8, I want to send them back. They said they would test the springs, and send me proper ones. I sent them in, they said they were v6 springs and sent them back to me.

I started to ask questions, these are not right. I got out of them that the rears are 135lbs. But couldnt tell me the front rate. But I sent them back, they tested them compressed at 8"(free height 11.25) to be 1280. So how did they know these were v6 springs if they dont know the front spring rate?

Please try to help me figure out what the normal rating for these springs are. That way I can order different rears, or sell these and advertise them properly. Or, what places would have the equipment to test this?

Free height, 11.25
4 active coils
when compressed to 8" (3.25) it is 1280lbs
coil diameter is about .72'ish

( to help anyone, Dean has 800lb front springs in his v6, free height of 12", coil dia of about .75-.78, and lowers the car between 1.75-2.00")

Jay, I just thought to tell you that I don't run front isolators! opps, my bad. Thats whay I drop about 2". That's gotta be the decrepency between my 12" free length coils ond your 11.25" length coils. Pull your isolators out and you should probably sit about where mine is maybe lower. I have just shy of 5 active (Free) coils. about 4 7/8 free coils to be more accurate.

I'm not running isolators on the front either. If I did, its only like 1/8" of an inch or so. their very thick.

Now in the rear, they are like 1" thick or so. And I did have to run them, or the springs would have fallen out
