1988 to 1989 WS6 differences

What did the WS6 package include on these two years that changed? Was the 36mm (1-1/2 inch) front hollow swaybar available in 1988 or was it new for 1989? I ask becasue I now own one Trasn Am from these years and would like to know the suspension differences.

I've got an '88 TA WS6, and I was pretty sure it has a 36mm bar. I'll have to go and measure it again to be sure one of these days, but I'm pretty positive its a 36mm/24mm combo.

My '87 has the 36/24 combination, so I doubt that it was new for '89
