90 vs. 92 ground clearance

Is there a difference from factory in the ground clearance on a 1990 Camaro vs. a 1992 Camaro? I just got a 1992 and it's quite lower than my 1990. The 1992 has 16" wheels vs. the 15" on the 1990 - dunno if it makes a difference. Maybe someone did a lowering kit? How do I tell if it has been lowered? Anyone else have both years and noticed a difference?

Look at the springs and you typically can tell if they are aftermarket. Most aftermarket springs are not black and are coated in some other color. These cars sag over time with old springs and the more worn they get the more they sag. It is not uncommon for people to replace their stock springs with aftermarket lowering ones to have the height of that car remian unchanged. Also, check out tires sizes. Your 90 may have taller tires.
