wide drag radials on stock wheels
i bought a pair of 275/50/15 bfg drag radials.i was thinking about putting them on my stock wheels off my 89 rs.do yall think stock wheels a to narrow to get a good foot print.

mw66nova has 275/60/15 on his stock 15x7 wheel and he said he hasn't had any problems.

yes, but the 60 series makes it 2" taller than the 50 series. if you can, get an 8" wheel. my huge sidewalls are much more forgiving than the shorter tire will be and the shorter tire will wrap the tread around the sidwall. not the best combo for trying to hook at the track.
edit: even though i haven't had much issues, i will be replacing mine with an 8" wide rim as soon as possible so i won't have to worry about overpowering my current footprint.
