need some advice
Ok. I don't know much about suspension, except for the really basic stuff. I definetely need to replace shocks and springs on my car, all the bushings, panhard bar, torque arm, control arms, ball joints etc. Basically a complete suspension overhaul. I don't want to have to do it ever again, so I want some advice on what parts to get. As of now, I'm thinking of koni reds, eibach sportlines, energy suspension bushings, ? sway bar, ? adjustable control arms, ? adjustable panhard bar, ? sway bars. There are so many brands of the parts I listed that it's confusing me. Are they all basically the same? or should I get a specific brand? My goal is to make the car handle good, ride decent (no cadillac), and get traction (don't want to spin out on wet pavement and crash into a pole, as with my last car
)
The car is a 1991 RS v8 5-speed with 180k on the clock, suspension is worn out, it doesn't bottom out like my 94 did but makes strange noises on turns and bumpy roads (i would think it's the bushings or something like that). Any advice on what to get and where to get it is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
