Bad drag shock?
I bought some used and I'm not sure if they're working correctly. The pass. side goes up and down easily, the drivers side goes up easily and then get's hard to push down. How are they supposed to work?

What brand are they? If they are the cheaper "drag" shocks like lakewood, summit house brand, etc then most of them are 3 way adjustable.
If you have those, then one may be set on a diff ratio than the other one
The valving is known in ratio form 60/40, 50/50, etc but on the instructions and marked on shocks are letters....
XF (means extra firm) F (means firm) R (means regular)
They have to be off the car to adjust..
Look at the pistion end.. Theres a bust boot made on to it. The boot has a triangle mark on it
The shock body has the valving letters on them. Aline mark on boot with letter you want for the setting you want.
To do this.. Compression the piston rod fully and rotate alittle in either direction untill the piston goes into the shock body little deeper
Hold shock collapsed and rotate the mark on boot to the setting you want untill you hear a click and the mark is lined with the setting you want

They were supposed to be set at 90/10. It feels like the drivers side is, I guess I'll check the pass. side again.
Sorry, I meant to say they're front struts. Not rear shocks.
