RPO code for rear end gear ratio

I tried using the RPO decoder but it won't come up for some reason. anyone know the RPO codes for an 85 Camaro (with disk brakes if that would narrow things down). I am trying to find the rear end gear ratio.

You can kinda figgure it out by looking at the tech data page:

https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/techdb.shtml

Match up your year and model with your engine code and weather or not you have the G92 RPO and you should be able to find out.

Or, do the right thing, and go straight to the source, such that no confusion or error will be possible.

Take off the cover and look. It's the only way to be sure.

Changed the fluid lately? Then it's long overdue. While you're catching up on the maintenance you've been slacking on, make a point of looking at the gears. The ratio is stamped right on the edge of the ring gear. 41/15 = 2.73; 41/11= 3.73; 42/13 = 3.23; etc.

I know cracking it open is the only real way to find out but I just don't want to open it up right now if I don't have to.

A car that is 20 years old could have had another gear set swapped in. An RPO only tells you what the car came with stock. Whereever you buy it from should let you take the cover off and look at the gears to varify. Even if you buy it you will have to change the fluid. You are 10 bolts away from your answer.
