Looking for options for a strut tower brace that will clear a HSR. Did a search found nothing. Pics will help.

 

They dont make any since the HSR is aftermarket. User 'bbunting' made his own slick STB for his HSR beast motor, looks pretty good. A search for his name will probably get you some pictures. I'm gonna be installing the HSR soon and I also want to run a STB. I want my STB chromemoly too since I'm using the car for drifting and roadracing. I got no fabrication skills so making my own is not an option. I thought about it and got some ideas from these forums, finally came up with a plan. I'm gonna order a chromemoly STB for the TPI, then get someone locally to make some aluminum plates I can use to put under the mounting points to raise the STB up enough to clear the HSR. I got the idea from those guys on the forums that used this method to raise the strut mounts to give more strut travel on lowered cars. They used plates under the strut mounts to raise them up. Pretty much copying them but applying it to the STB. Only thing I dont know is if it'll clear the hood. I'll find out soon.
