Anyone with Edelbrock TPI strut tower brace - please read!
First off - I have the Edelbrock STB for TPI cars...but I somehow lost the instruction sheet that came with it
. Does anyone still have the instructions for this piece that they'd be willing to scan / take a digi pic of and email to me?
I mean, it seems pretty straightforward - but I want the instructions anyway as I've never done one of these before, and don't want to swiss-cheese my strut towers trying to get the brace positioned properly - plus, I want to make sure I put the brace in the right spot...
Now, my next issue - my brace came with bolts that are WAY too small for the holes in the ends! They fit through, but there's horrible amounts of slop in it - unacceptable for a bracing component, IMO. What good does it do if the brace is moving all over the place when it's under stress?
Question - is it like this for a reason (hood clearance?), or can I replace these bolts with thicker ones that fill the holes better? I went to the hardware store and got some M12 bolts that fill the end holes quite nicely, but I won't use them if they are going to cause problems...
Any help / advice is greatly appreciated!
