replacing steering rack boots

I took my PS steering box off to clean up the engine bay and to have it painted. Only thing is when I took it off, the boot that goes between the pitman arm (?) that comes out of the steering box, and the steering rack broke and tore apart. Is there any way to just replace the boot, or do I need a whoel new freakin rack?

Also, on that same link, Im trying to tighten down the nut on the pitman arm (again, im not sure what its called. The piece of metal that hooks onto the steering rack). But when I start to tighten it, the stud actually spins inside! any ideas on how to make it stop spinning? Im out of ideas.

I'm sure you can just replace the boot that would be idiotic to replace the whole rack just cause you tore a boot. I don't know what to tell you about the pitman arm ( yes that is what its called) sorry i couldn't be more help.
