a-arm question

i am rounding up parts for a front end rebuild on my 85 z-28 and found that one of the ball joints has been welded to the a-arm. is an a-arm off of a 85 v-6 the same as one off of a 85 z-28?

do the moog parts have poly bushings? i am going with moog or psc.

psc(or moog) rebuild kit +centerlink & sleeves
struts and shocks
hotchkis springs 1" drop
tubular rear control arms from spohn
new hardware for front and rear control arms from spohn
poly spring isolaters
strut mounts
adaptors for strut mounts from spohn

did i miss anything? im not building a drag racer. i just want to be able to drive without sawing back and forth constantly.

Yes, the V6 cars had the same a-arms. Moog bushings aren't poly, but I would use them in a heartbeat.

How about...
Tie-rod ends
Idler Arm
Sway-bar bushings and links
Bumpstops
Adjustable Panhard Rod (for lowered rear-end centering)
Sounds good so far!!

It will help center your rear-end once the car is lowered. Mine was out about 1/4" after lowering.

Women will test your resolve to no end. Just stick with it and give her some extra attention later on.

Do you have a link to the Moog rebuild kit you're looking at? The one Spohn sells does come with the Moog centerlink and Spohn's heavy-duty sleeves.

As for recommendations, I would go with GM spring isolators. Poly isolators are just a waste of money and add unnecessary noise to the car. The A-arms will require bumpstops (go with Moog, this part shouldn't be poly either), bushings (poly from ES or Prothane), and ball joints (Moog). Rear control arms will require bushings (poly from ES or Prothane) and relocation brackets (Spohn).

Depending on what are in those two rebuild kits, everything else looks great.

Take a look at the a-arms before you buy. Typically, the end link bolt hole ovals out.
