Best tires for 15" turbo cast rims

I was looking at some BFGoodrich and Falken tires for my 82 TA and was wondering about tire sizes. Do you guys think 225's for both front and back will be ok on these rims?

I would recommend 235/60/15 tires for both front and back.

Thanks. What about preference to brands? The falkens I was looking at look like they are superior in the rain than the BFGoodrich Radial TA's, though the BF's have that more classic look to them.

Those Yokohamas are what I have on my car. From a price vs. performance standpoint, they are hard to beat. If you are looking for the best 15" tire for the money, there is a tire made by Perelli in a 235/60 size that came standard on certain Jaguars. They sell for around $150 a peice, though... not for people with tight budgets.

I wholeheartedly recommend the Yokohamas, though. They are a great all purpose street performance tire.

Do you have any pics of your car with these tires on? I'm curious to see how they look on a similar car like yours.

Yes, I do... but my friend has the camera that they are saved on at his house. I'll try to get you some pics if at all possible.

For what it's worth, it really makes these dinky 15" wheels look a lot more sporty (like it should) with the aggressive tread design of these tires. I like it a lot.

EDIT: By the way, they are a size of 225/60 on all four corners.

Those same tyres here are about double that price.
However as a footnote Pirelli have always been a good choice, Yokohamas are really the "new" kid on the block in some ways.
Years ago when a Japanese motorcycle came with them as standard, we threw them away, they were useless wet or dry.
How times change.
