Good start?

I am wanting to start to modify my firebird soon. I have searched and come up with the following mods. This is a bone stock car as of today, with 108,000 miles. It handles well, but I want more. I also want the best bang for the buck. This desire comes in part due to a cruise our local club had this weekend. The car did well up a back mountain road, amongst several 4th gens. But It could do better. Heres the goods:

List 1
KYB AGK Gas struts(adjustable)---------------$312
Hotchkis 1" drop sport springs-----------------$240

List 2
Bilstein sport front struts(non-adjustable)---$310
Eibach pro-kit(1.3" drop)----------------------$250

Option
Earls hyperfirm stainless brakelines-----------------$70

I know I have to replace the rear struts also. Im going to do that with income tax, along with an alignment, and maybe some tierod ends, and a brake upgrade. The car needs more stuff I know, and I plan on doing it. Im just wanting to get started, and Ive got about $600. I am leaning towards the adjustable struts(KYB) and the less aggressive 1" drop springs(Hotchkis). And I will probably get the stainless lines either way. Eventually, it will be an all out corner car, with topend double duty, all legally of course. And again, I know there are other things to do, but is this a good place to start? I am going to fab and build my own, strut brace, and SFC. Maybe a panhard bar, too.
