Pre 89 rear calipers upgraded????

Pre 89 rear calipers upgraded????
Is there a way to tell (pictures?) or desciption whether my pre 89 rear calipers were upgraded,with replacement actuators. Need to know before ordering 18019028 upgrade kit Thanks

There may be a way (I have installed the kit, a couple years ago), but the best way I know to tell is how well your car stops. If it stops worse than a drum brake car, they probably don't have it. Also, this system is pretty sensitive to proper e-brake cable adjustment...that can make a world of diference. BTW with the kit, it should stop just as well as a PBR-equipped model.
