Check with local tire/wheel shops near you, they usually have a set of lug breakers (or whatever they're called) that basically cut into the lugnuts and can remove them. Sears sells them in sets, but I haven't seen them big enough to handle lugnuts, plus a small set is like $30 (but they come in handy if you strip a lot of bolt heads - like I did on my oil drain plug last month like a complete dork).

Having said all that, when I lost the key to the locking lugnuts on my other car it took me a trip to three tire/wheel shops before I found one that could do the work. They only charged me $10 to do, but I had to buy new lugnuts to replace the ones they took off. A guy on another board had a similar problem, but a shop near him wanted.......get this.....$40 PER WHEEL to take them off!!! Don't pay more than $20 to have it done.

Hammer a cheap socket that is slightly too small to fit over the locking lug nut. The locking lugs are a bit on the soft side and that old cheap socket will squeeze over them just fine.

there is a tool available, but usually we did them with an air chisel. Cut into the corner and hammer in a counterclockwise direction. You could also weld a nut to them and use a breaker bar.

Yup.. on the socket....

I hammered a sears socket on it when i had an issue, and used a breaker bar for the leverage, but a 1/2 ratchet will work too

make sure the other lug nuts are on tight, that helps too

ohhhh
then bring the socket back to sears and get it exchanged

I had this problem last spring. I used a 12 point socket (20mm i think) from harbor freight. slam it on with a hammer and they come right out.

I solved it by welding a standard lug nut to it. I made a shield out of a cofee can lid with a slot in it that I slipped over the lug nut so the weld spatter didn't hit my rim. Of course I found the key for the locking lug nut in the car the next day. You may want to pull off the cover for the spare tire and see if the provious owner glued the key code for the locking lug nuts there. Also dig around the spare tire and jack and you may find the lug nut key.

ick locking lugs suck man. get them off their. also have seen them break when trying to tighten them down.
a way I have had to do it befor eis using the old socket and hammer trick. it also helps if you have a torch near by to heat the metal up a bit. makes it easier to deform the stuff

What you would look for (to do it the right way i suppose, although those other's will work as well) Is to use tools like these Click Here

These do work wonder's, as I have a set myself (I had two cars with those darn lugnuts on them, and neither had the key) So I bouth this kit.. and they came right off. although onely one per wheel were the keylock ones, So i just needed to get 4 new lugs. (the tool chews the lug up pretty darn good when getting it off)
