Question about C5 rear rims.

Ok, I found an ad on craigslist for a "set of 4 rear C5 rims" for $300 w/ out tires. I emailed the guy and he said that they were all rear b/c he bought 2 sets and put the 4 fronts on his caprice. Would I be able to get spacers or do something to make the rears fit the front on a TG? I know I need spacers for the rear. What is the difference between the front and rear rims??

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
17" vs 18"

Spacer requirements are the same. 2" should work all the way around.

So these rims would work on my car with 2 inch spacers even though they are meant for the rear?? How bout on an 87 vette, would the "rears" work on the front?? only reason I ask is b/c it might make a nice gift for my father if I end up finding rims that I like better. http://newyork.craigslist.org//pts/108669440.html does anyone think this is a decent deal??

The 87 vette will need spacers to run the C5's, not sure how much spacing it would need though, should be less than 2". Rears should work fine on the front of the 87 since the C5's are only 9.5" wide.
Are they the 97-99 like these?

Yes they look exactly like those. Do you think that it is a good price, I like how they look on the firebird. I will probably buy them for my car and get spacers.

You may be able to talk him down since everyone I know thinks they are the ugliest wheels ever put on a vette.
If you don't mind the 17/18 combo, I can ask my friend if he will sell my old ones to you since he bought them from me just for the tires.
