can i take out the front bumber crash bar and not have a problem with the bumper cover

the "crash bar" has mounting bolts that hold the front bumper to the car..

You could probably fab up some ghetto mounts and make it work.I wouldn't want to get caught with it like that though..i can only assume it would be a big ticket.

I've seen this done. Its definately do-able but I wouldn't chance it for a street car (not so much because you might do something but because someone else might hit you). Other guys have removed it and had supports welded in its place. This is a safer way to do it and still drop some weight.
