stock ride height. But better springs?

Does this exist? Aftermarket springs that ride at stock height? Or do I have to go with pro-kits? or even moog replacemnet?

Please fill me in.

forget moog when it comes to springs...go with the thirdgen specific hotchkis or the eibach prokit, pretty darn close to stock height but with the benefit of firmer, more balanced ride. Moogs are just cheap replacements and you won't hardly feel a difference in the ride quality. I run the hotchkis springs though.

Thanks man. I will stick with some crap while the car is being built. Then later on switch over to something nice.

Thanks, later,

I would pretty much like to see another 600rwhp thirdgen that is driven everday(when the weather permits) that's civilized and gets more than 6mpg lol!

I wouldn't say Moog springs are cheap replacements; they are just cheaper than the kits. Ifyou buy the correct ones they will last just as well as Eibach's and probably handle better. You will not, however, have the nice powercoat or Eibach sticker.

I would recommend you get some specific height/rate linear springs from Eibach or Suspension Spring Specialists. These types of springs are usually used in conjunction with weight jacks for adjustable ride height. But they can also be used to achieve what you want which is basically stock ride height but specific rates. Try Ground Control if you cant find a local place that sells these. The hard part here will be for you to determine what spring rates would work the best for you for your application. But yes its possible to have aftermarket springs with stock ride height and stiffer (or softer) linear rates.

Thanks CrazyHawaiian. I will look more deaply into this kind of fine tuning once the car is done this spring. For now I am going with some stockers, and pulling out my sporlines and selling them. (sold). As for now I am just dealing with stupid crap. I was installing my short water pump last night and a bolt snapped, ugh. Nothing ever goes right. Anybody know what size/thread those are? I am gonna just order some ARP ones, but want to get one of those thread chasers.

Oh well, thanks for all your help everyone.

leeperryracing, looks like I will be a measly 500 HP, not so tame daily driven camaro getting some ****ty gas milage for about a year before I get my next brake from school and can start to make my beast into a more tame monster. hehe. Later
